  • In other contexts, collaboration may include tailored solutions between the Student and the LifeLong Learning programs.

Intermediary Student Participation

  • Reflects a deeper level of engagement where students can co-develop projects and programs.
  • These collaborations are designed for long-term initiatives, fostering sustainability, shared ownership, and measurable impact.
  • Includes student-instructor opportunities.

Assistant Instructor

An Assistant Instructor for online courses supports the delivery, coordination, and student experience of virtual learning; acting as the operational and communication bridge between students, instructors, and administrative staff—ensuring learners stay on track, receive timely support, and understand course expectations

Roles

  • Student On boarding & Orientation – Help students access platforms, materials, passwords, and course tools.
  • Progress Monitoring – Track attendance, participation, and assignment progress; flag concerns early
  • Communication Liaison- Coordinate with instructors to resolve student questions and support needs
  • Course Support – Assist with distributing materials, organizing information, and ensuring students understand expectations.
  • Testing & Compliance Coordination – Help schedule required assessments and ensure proper documentation (without administering tests themselves)

Skills

  • Communication & Responsiveness – Clear, timely communication with students and instructors; strong written clarity.
  • Technical Proficiency – Comfortable with LMS platforms, digital tools, and troubleshooting basic access issues.
  • Organization & Detail Orientation – Accurate tracking of progress, deadlines, and documentation.
